Tomo Safari Lodge lies inside the Balule Private Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger region. Being part of this intricate open system allows us the privilege of witnessing beautiful South African wildlife roaming and migrating freely, as nature intended. Here, there are no fences impeding the animals from entering the Kruger National Park. This open system also allows a wide variety of wildlife to visit Tomo Safari Lodge.

All year long, there is an abundance of local and migratory birds in and around Tomo Safari Lodge. Our lodge also shares its home with a wide variety of animals, including the Big 5, cheetah, kudu, wild dogs, giraffe, hippos, and many more animals can also be spotted in the areas surrounding the lodge.

True African bushveld

Guests and visitors enjoy spectacular views of the distant Drakensberg Mountains, the beautiful winding Umhlametsi riverbed, and the vast open spaces of the Leadwood and Cheetah plains. Tomo Safari Lodge is a picture of the African bushveld, and is surrounded by incredible flora like Marulas, Jackelberries, and Knobthorns.
