What to expectweather patterns
Spring, September – November
Summer, December – February
The bush comes alive in spring and summer, bursting into a lush green paradise after the rains. This is the season of new life—fresh grass, full waterholes, and an abundance of newborn animals. The reserve is filled with energy, from playful young antelope to the calls of migratory birds returning for the season. It’s a time of dramatic skies, warm evenings, and the vibrant pulse of nature in full swing.
Autumn, March to May
Winter, June – August
As the landscape dries in autumn and winter, the bush transforms into a world of golden hues and open vistas. With the vegetation thinning out, wildlife becomes easier to spot, and animals gather around waterholes in striking numbers. The crisp air, soft winter light, and dust-kissed sunsets create an atmosphere that feels almost otherworldly—perfect for photographers and safari lovers alike. Morning game drives bring cool, refreshing air, while evenings are best spent by the fire, under a sky filled with endless stars.
